FAQ

What types of photography do you specialize in?

I specialize in portrait, couples, family, candid/cinematic, and street photography. Each style allows me to capture the beauty of different moments and emotions.

How do I book a session with you?

You can book a session by contacting me through the contact form on my website or by sending me an email. We’ll discuss your vision and schedule a time that works for you!

This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.

It’s completely normal to feel nervous before your first photoshoot! Here are a few tips to help you feel more at ease:

Communicate with Your Photographer: Share your feelings with your photographer. They can provide reassurance and guidance to help you feel comfortable.

Practice Posing: Look up some poses online that you like and practice them in front of a mirror. This can help you feel more prepared.

Choose Outfits You Love: Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. When you feel good in your clothes, it can help boost your confidence.

Focus on Having Fun: Remember, the photoshoot is about capturing you and your personality. Try to relax and enjoy the experience.

Breathe: Take deep breaths to calm your nerves. It’s okay to take a moment to collect yourself before the shoot starts.

Bring a Friend: If possible, bring a friend or family member for support. Having someone familiar with you can help ease your nerves.

Think of It as a Conversation: Instead of seeing it as being in front of a camera, think of it as a conversation or an experience. The photographer is there to help guide you through it.

With time, you’ll likely find that photoshoots become easier and more enjoyable. Just focus on being yourself, and remember that everyone has to start somewhere!

What should I expect during a photoshoot?

During a photoshoot, I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’ll guide you through poses and prompts while allowing for natural moments to unfold. My goal is to capture authentic emotions and connections.

What should I wear?

Choosing the right outfit for your photoshoot can significantly impact the overall look and feel of your photos. Here are some tips to help you decide what to wear:

Comfort is Key: Wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in. If you’re not comfortable, it may show in your photos.

Consider the Location: Think about the environment where you’ll be shooting. If it’s outdoors, earthy tones might complement the scenery. For urban settings, brighter colors or more stylish outfits can stand out against the backdrop.

Footwear: Select shoes that are appropriate for the location and that you can walk in comfortably. If it’s a casual shoot, sneakers or sandals might work; for a more polished look, consider boots or dress shoes.

How many pictures will I receive?

The number of photos you receive depends on the type of session and its duration. Generally, you can expect to receive around 20-30 or more edited images from a standard session. I aim to provide a variety of shots to capture different angles and moments. After the session, I'll share a selection of the best images with you.

Are you available outside of Maryland?

Yes, I am available for photography sessions in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. As I grow and become more established, I will consider expanding my services to other locations!

Do you do couples photography?

Yes, I absolutely love photographing couples! It's one of the sessions I'm most comfortable with, as I enjoy capturing the connection and intimacy between partners. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, engagement, or just want to document your love, I'm here to help create beautiful memories.

Do you require a deposit to secure my booking?

Since I offer complimentary first sessions, I don’t require a deposit for those. However, for subsequent sessions, a deposit may be needed to secure your date.

What if the weather is bad on the day of my outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule your shoot for a later date or move it indoors if possible. Your comfort and satisfaction are my top priorities!

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Typically, you can expect to receive your edited photos within 1-2 weeks after the session. I’ll keep you updated on the timeline and let you know when they’re ready to view!
